If any data or business information is missing or incorrect, email us at RBSSupplyChain@Rutgers.com. Please note the specific data point you want to correct/add and we'll get it updated.

  • What New Jersey counties are included?

The Center for Local Supply Chain Resiliency encompasses all the strategic pillars of academic excellence to be an applied research center, which is building economic and social development solutions for New Jersey, starting with Essex, Camden, Middlesex, Mercer, and Hudson Counties. We will use these initial Counties to build the master plan for the State where we will identify diverse businesses and contract opportunities while continuously measuring and fostering quality growth and development.

  • How do I search for a local diverse business by diversity category?

From the Local Supply Chain Database you can easily filter by diversity category using the checklist on the left hand side of the screen. Under the "Diversity Category" section you can select which categories you want to search by.

Integrating Climate Impacts

Since we will be capturing and analyzing a significant amount of data, we will be able to determine and report on our New Jersey climate change impacts – e.g., analyzing local business and manufacturing sourcing strategies (versus national/global). This information can be displayed at a State, County and regional level using Urban Heat Map technology built into the dashboard.

The Center will also conduct collaborative research and development efforts to support a broader environmental mission and build economic resilience, the project team will utilize EPA-MARKAL to investigate the environmental impact studies of industry activities, such as the transport of goods global vs. internal to NJ.
