The Rutgers Center for Local Supply Chain Resiliency is an applied research center focused on conducting research that leads to locally sourced business contracts leading to positive social and economic impacts while creating a robust resilient New Jersey Supply Chain system.
By conducting high-quality research, the center will empower state, city, regional leaders, and community members to make effective and informed decisions as it relates to procurement, supply chain, social and climate impact practices.

Rutgers Business School hosts a six-week leadership program each summer for young African professionals through the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, focused on business education, networking, and entrepreneurship. Since 2016, the program has supported 200 fellows from across sub-Saharan Africa in expanding businesses, careers, and community impact.

The Center for Local Supply Chain Resiliency encompasses all the strategic pillars of academic excellence to be an applied research center, which is building economic and social development solutions for New Jersey, starting with Essex, Camden, Middlesex, Mercer, and Hudson Counties. We will use these initial Counties to build the master plan for the State where we will identify diverse businesses and contract opportunities while continuously measuring and fostering quality growth and development.
